M3 Term Conflict Log

Analysts ask which definition applies. AI can't.

Form Workbook

What it's for

Analysts cope with one name covering several meanings by asking a colleague. An AI tool can't ask, so it picks one and presents it as fact. Not every conflict has a loser: often both meanings are legitimate and should become separate terms. This log records each conflict, who owns each version, what it affects, and how it was resolved. A conflict should be resolved here before the term is certified in the critical term register (M1).

What you get

  • Conflict log Each conflict: both definitions and their owners, how it was found, its impact, the reports and AI use cases affected, the resolution and the certified term IDs.
  • Summary Measures for your governance report, with conflicts found and resolved by quarter.

How it connects

Conflicts come from report reconciliations, C4's flagged answers and quality checks; a resolution becomes certified terms in M1, through M2, and the S1 use cases affected are told.
